A little bit of this, a little bit of that

I'm a little embarrassed that just from the posts today, I am one post shy from my total posts from last month. It's quite embarrassing, but I did have quite the busy month. Mostly because I've been waking up at 6:45 in the morning as opposed to whenever my heart desires. It means I have to go to bed earlier, which if you know me, you know that I'm a night owl, and going to bed early is certainly no easy task. And night is usually when I write the majority of my posts. So that's been quite the battle. I have 6 alarms to wake me up, I kid you not. Four on my phone, and two on my real alarm clock, which by the way has a sensor, so if you just wave your hand in front of it, it goes to snooze! It was bad when I figured that out. Right now my alarm clock is at an angle where I would have to actually sit up in bed to wave my hand in front of it (how lazy can I get? sheesh), but lately, I've been just sticking my foot out of the covers and kicking it in the air until it goes off. How ridiculous is that?! I'm sure it would be quite amusing to witness though. I'm definitely sure of that.

This weekend also looks to be extremely busy! I'm leading a small group in the morning, and then babysitting. Sunday, is church, followed by an afternoon spent in the park, followed by an evening spent at a softball field for a 4th of July bbq, softball game, and fireworks. It will be tons of fun, but also very tiring! I'm very much looking forward to it, though. Only 2 short months away from college football! Can't wait!

I hope you have a lovely 4th of July weekend, and you stay safe, and have fun! Take care, and God bless!

30 Days of Me: Day 1

Day 1: YOUR FAVORITE SONG
A Beautiful Mess by Jason Mraz. It's a song that reminds me of my senior year of high school and it always, always, always makes me sing at the top of my lungs! I've listened to it over and over again, and I'm still not sick of it. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful melody. It really doesn't get much better than this song. Not for me, at least.

30 Days of Me

I've seen a few people that I'm following doing this, and it's a fun way to put myself out there, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon! Bad girl, I know.. I gave in to what the "cool kids are doing." Oh well. I'm sure my soul will be fine ;)

Blogging Slump

I know I've been kindof scarce lately. Okay, not kindof, I have been really scarce lately. I'm going through what baseball players call when they can't get a hit, a slump. A blogging slump. Don't get me wrong, there is lots going on over here in my neck of the woods, I just don't have the energy to blog about it! I've been out in the sun (now that it has finally come out), and spending time with friends, and all that fun stuff. I'll make more of an effort. Maybe at least one blog a week? How does that sound?

So I've decided, after my first two major sunburns of the summer, sunscreen is not my friend. It hates me. Instead of making the sun bronze my pale white skin, or even keep it pale, it absorbs the freaking sun. I kid you not. I put on SPF 50 both times I spent time in the pool this week, even got out to put MORE on, and I'm still as red as a lobster. Maybe it's God's way of telling me I'm way too white? Could be. Anywho, I'll continue to put the sunscreen on, and most likely continue to get burnt. Funny thing is, people keep telling me to cover up. Right, I'll just put a t-shirt on in the pool so I don't get burnt. Silly people.

Well I'm off to have a nice visit with some friends from the other side of the state. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Get lots of vitamin D! (But not too much, of course!) Take care, and God bless.

Summer Lovin'

I can now officially say that it is summer in Oregon.

Thank God.

I have a feeling that this summer is going to be a good one.
So far, these are my plans..

Being the worlds best nanny
Spending numerous days by the lake
Spending numerous days at baseball/softball fields
(My "unofficial" niece and nephew made all*stars)
A weekend concert event in July
*CAN'T FREAKING WAIT TO SEE THESE GUYS*

Spending as much time in the sun, soaking up some vitamin d
Getting rid of this accidental farmers tan.. yuck
*no offense, farmers*
Seeing my "official" niece and nephew
Maybe a road trip or two across the beautiful state of Oregon

Needless to say, I'm super excited, so let's get this show on the road!
Anybody else have big plans?
Have a wonderful Monday!

Take care, and God bless.
