Top 5 Thursday: Fired Up!

I'm linking up with Meghan today for Top 5 Thursday!
This weeks list is of top 5 work out songs.
Honestly, when I'm on an elliptical I can't listen to slow music.
It slows me down, I go with the pace of the music...
So I love me some upbeat gettin' sweaty (not the naughty kind) music!

(In no particular Order)

1. Crushcrushcrush by Paramore

2. My First Kiss by 3OH!3 ft. Ke$ha

3. Only Girl by Rihanna

4. Misery Business by Paramore
(seeing a theme here? A girl that rocks like that is perfect for working out to!)

5. Raise Your Glass by P!nk

(Okay, I can't do just 5, here's a few more)

6. Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional <3

7. Forget You  by Cee Lo Green
(Or the other version.. depending on my mood)

8. Are You Going To Be My Girl by Jet

The Mess I Made

Should've kissed you there
I should've held your face
I should've watched those eyes
Instead of run in place
I should've called you out
I should've said your name
I should've turned around
I should've looked again

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

Should've held my ground
I could've been redeemed
For every second chance
That changed its mind on me
I should've spoken up
I should've proudly claimed
That oh my head's to blame
For all my heart's mistakes

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

And it's you, and it's you
And it's you, and it's you
And it's falling down, as you walk away
And it's on me now, as you go

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

And it's falling down, as you walk away
And it's on me now, as you go...

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

Happy Birthday

WILW

Happy Wednesday!

And Happy Star Wars day!

"May the 4th be with you!"

I'm linking up with Jamie, and here's what I'm loving today!

I'm Loving... That I got a job! And it's not as a nanny! Not that I don't absolutely love being a nanny, but this one I'm guaranteed to make good money, and I have the possibility to make even better money! It has a great base pay with commission on top of it! I could end up making up to 18 dollars an hour, and I'm just loving that!

I'm Loving... This beautiful weather! Two days in a row of 70 degree weather?!?! Heck yes! I live in Oregon, and if anybody has ever been to Oregon, you know that it takes FOREVER for summer to get here. I'm talkin' July 1st. I'm hopin' it'll be here by my birthday!

I'm Loving... That my birthday is less than a month away! I'll finally be 21! The plan so far (unless my job interferes with it) is a trip to Eugene Thursday night (bummer that my birthday is on a Thursday, but it's whatever) to have dinner with my family, then my brother is taking me out for a couple drinks.. Friday we're going to the coast so I can get a tattoo on my foot.. ouch. After that we'll just drive home.. I'm sure I won't want to do much walking/standing after that. Then of course when I get home, I have a few friends that are going to take me out. I cannot wait! You don't know how many times I've heard "Aren't you 21 yet?" from my friends. I. can't. wait.

I'm Loving... that baseball/softball season is in full swing. I have no idea how many baseball and softball games I've been to this season all ready, but just know it's a lot. My best friend has 3 kids and they're all playing this year. The girl is even on two teams. It's a lot. And I try to make it to all of the girls games, since I was one of the people who talked her into playing. :)

 (She's pitching)

I'm Loving... Life! God is good, my friends and family are good, and I'm just happy as can be.

What are you loving this Wednesday?

Employed!

I got a job! Now, I didn't get the job that was supposed to be in Alaska, all of those positions were filled, but I did get a position that is only 45 miles from home (which is also where I go to school) so I'm excited! I start training Thursday through Sunday 9-1pm. I'm so excited! They seem really laid back, and it doesn't matter that I have a tattoo or piercings! Woot! This job was pretty much made for me :) God definitely took care of me in that interview :) He's awesome!!

Quote Me

Once you had put the pieces back together, even though you may look intact, you were never quite the same as you’d been before the fall.
Jodi Picoult
The greatest pain that comes form love, is loving someone you can never have.
Unknown

There’s always going to be bad stuff out there. But here’s the amazing thing — light trumps darkness, every time. You stick a candle into the dark, but you can’t stick the dark into the light.
Jodi Picoult
Love is an untamed force. When we try to control it, it destroys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us. When we try to understand it, it leaves us feeling lost and confused.
Paulo Coelho

All I’d ever wanted was to forget. but even when I thought I had, pieces had kept emerging, like bits of wood floating up to the surface that only hint at the shipwreck below.
Sarah Dessen

I don’t really want to become normal, average, standard. I want merely to gain in strength, in the courage to live out my life more fully, enjoy more, experience more.
Anaïs Nin

My Weekend

This weekend I took my best friends two boys to the Ducks spring game in Eugene. It was short, but it was a very fun trip. We headed over the mountains at 8:30 and made it into Eugene by 11:15. Nedyah passed out on the air mattress a short time later, but T was up until almost 2:00 AM! He's only seven. It was crazy! He woke up refreshed and as crazy as usual the next day though.

After we ate breakfast and showered and got "ducked out" we headed to Autzen Stadium! The spring game has been dedicated to the armed forces, particularly soldiers from the community. They take  the game to honor the people who risk their lives for our country. At the end of the game, some of the soldiers as well as all the duck football players meet in the middle of the field, and the football players give them the jerseys off their backs, and the soldiers give the football players a special coin. It's really cool to see. I especially liked that they took extra time to honor the fallen officer who was shot just last week in Springfield. It was very emotional and during the moment of silence, you could hear a pin drop. Oh, and another fun fact about the game, the previous record for a pac-10 spring game (held obviously by the ducks) was 20,000 people. This year, there were over 43,000 people at the spring game. It was almost like a regular football game, only I wasn't worried that my team would lose ;)

After the game, we rode the bus back to my car. It was packed and we had to stand. T loved it, he kept letting go of the seats because it was like he was "surfing." Nedyah refused to smile. So he gets a goofy picture.

I dropped the boys off with their grandparents and spent the rest of the weekend with my brother, grandma and my beautiful niece! We had way too much fun on that air mattress!

This is the technology it took to get us over the mountains, and back again. I think I've got this whole mom thing down. By the time I'm a mom, I'm going to know ALL the tricks.

T was a tired boy. He lasted 30 minutes before he passed out, and woke up 20 minutes before we were home. Needless to say it was a quiet ride home!

I had a blast on this much needed mini vacation. I'm sure the boys did too. I can't wait to have a REAL vacation though. That one was too much work!

I have a job interview tomorrow with a hotel resort that is located in Alaska. It would be an awesome summer job, and I'm way excited! Prayers would be appreciated, and I'll definitely keep you posted! Hope you had a great weekend and have an even better week!
