Procrastination

I have learned my lesson. For now. Remember that ticket I got back in February from running a yellow light? The one that I've been pretending didn't exist? Yes, that one. I was able to get it off my record if I paid a small fee and then took a traffic class. I had until May 28th to finish the class. I think you know where I'm going with this. I just finished it. A four hour online class. After working for 8 hours and spending those 8 hours staring at a computer screen. Needless to say I'm tired of staring at a computer screen! Too bad I have 8 more hours first thing tomorrow morning! I just had to stop in and say that procrastination is the worst nation! I'm never going back ;)

Hoo are you?

NightOwlCrafting

I'm linking up over here for Hoo are you?!
Here are this weeks questions:

1. What is your favorite thing cooked on the bbq?
2. How do you celebrate Memorial Day?
3. Do you like your handwriting?
4.Do you still have your tonsils?
5. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

Here are my answers!:

1. What is your favorite thing cooked on the bbq?
My favorite thing would probably have to be hamburgers.
I absolute love bbq'd burgers.. nothing says summer better than that.
Other than pool days ;)

2. How do you celebrate Memorial day?
Usually my dad's side of the family has a family reunion close by.
This year it's a little too far so I won't be making it.
But I will probably spend time at the pool if it's warm!

3. Do you like your handwriting?
I usually do. Sometimes I get in a hurry and it looks horrible
But for the most part I love it.

4. Do you still have your tonsils?
Yes. After my double-whammy of tonsilitis and strep I wanted them out.
But they wouldn't take em out. Jerks.

5. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Never.

P.S. Obviously the cleaning is going well :)

Cleaning..

Let me just get this out in the open.
I.HATE.CLEANING.

Whew, I feel a lot better now.
When I'm in the mood for it, it's not so bad..
It just so happens I'm not in the mood...
But this is my last day off until Sunday..
And Sunday's isn't a day for cleaning.
Not even close.
So I have to do it today.
I know what you're thinking..
"If you'd just pick up after yourself, you wouldn't have to clean like crazy."

Well.. I'd have to say that you're right.
I'm just SOOOO busy now!
With school (classes coming to a close next week!!)
and work
and things going on at night after the other things I'm doing..
I feel like a mad woman!
I need a vacation already!
Good thing my birthday is in 9 days..
I'll get a mini vacation!

But for now, I must clean.
Maybe organize a bit of this chaos.
Maybe make a few trips to donate a lot of crap some stuff.
It should be illegal to have to clean on your day off.
Just sayin'.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's another beautiful (kind of) Wednesday
And that means it's time for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm Loving... Muscle relaxers. I picked up my friends 2 year old daughter last night and I'm pretty sure I pinched a nerve in my back. I can't move my left leg without my back hurting, and I can't move my back without my back hurting. So muscle relaxers are my best friend right now. Even though they make me feel funny. I don't really like that part.

I'm Loving.. My best friend's kiddos. We were at a wedding this past Sunday, and this little guy goes out to the pond behind the venue and catches a fish. With his bare hand. And while we were at the wedding, his sister's softball team won their first championship at a tournament! I'm a proud auntie!

I'm Loving.. My handsome kitty, Uno. He's getting so big, and he's STARTING to calm down (thank God.. he's kind of crazy!) But I love him. He always knows when I'm sad and I need him to snuggle me. He's my fur kid :)

I'm Loving... All of the birthday's! It was my stepdad's birthday yesterday, and it's another friend's birthday today! It just means that my birthday is getting closer, too! Fifteen days.. not that I'm counting. Okay, okay, I'm counting! I can't help it.
I'm Loving... Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. I've been watching it from the beginning on Netflix. I'm on season two and I'm remembering why I love the show so much! It's addicting and it's definitely something that I'm loving when my back is hurting so much!

I'm Loving.. That it's Wednesday, and that means it's almost Friday! I'm having a date with my mommy at Applebees after we both get off work on Friday night. I love spending time with my mom :)

I'm Loving that there is always something to be thankful for.
What are you loving this Wednesday?

Go Shorty..

It's ya birthday. Well.. okay, not yet, but 3 weeks from Thursday it is!

I cannot wait. I'll finally be the big twenty-one! I have lots of fun plans, and time seems to just be dragging along. Really, it's going by fast, I just wish it was June 2nd already! I'm a big fan of my birthday (really, who isn't? Those people who say "it's just another day" are complete liars! It's YOUR day.. stop ruining my fun when I'm wishing you a happy birthday!) it's the one day a year that I can be completely selfish. Well, in all honesty, I could be completely selfish everyday of the year, but I'm not. Since I'm so excited, I'm gonna lay out the plans for y'all. (whoa.. did I just say y'all?!?!)

June 2nd (The big day)
Head to Eugene at 12.
Pedicure with my mom and grandma (going to pamper my feet before I torture my left foot)
Dinner with the family @ The Original Roadhouse (YUM!)
Going to a bar with my brother (whoop whoop!)

June 3rd
Head to Newport (the coast.. yeaaaah buddy!)
Get a tattoo (on my foot... yikes)
Do as little walking as possible
Drive home!

Sometime that next week:
Happy hour at Applebee's with Kelly and Aime
Movie
Second happy hour at Applebee's with Kelly and Aime

Basically, I'm stoked. This is the last birthday that I will be REALLY looking forward to (go ahead, roll your eyes you old farts) so I'm just wayyyy excited. That's an understatement really, but it's the best I can come up with. Here's a sneak peek of what my tattoo will sort of look like. Let me know what you think!

I'm wanting my favorite bible verse on the stem though, otherwise.. that's pretty much what I'm wanting :)

I'm a Call Girl

Well.. kind of. When I told my hermano (means brother in spanish.. he's my best friend's husband) about my job, he teased and said.. "So you're a call girl, huh? Got tired of those corners?" Yeah.. he's a riot.

Technically I'm a "call" girl, but not in the trading-sex-for-money kind of way. I answer calls ALL DAY. That's what I do. My company is hired by major hotels all over the country (the expensive ones that MOST people can't afford) to make reservations for them. It's actually quite interesting because I get so many different kinds of people to talk to all day. A few of those experiences haven't been too pleasant, but for the most part, I'm loving it. When I look up the hotels, it tells me the temperature in that part of the country and I get a little jealous when I see the temperature for Florida and Texas when I look out my window and see hail/snow/rain/anything but sunshine. I do like my job a lot though. I finished training in basically 2 days when they thought it would take me at the very least 4 (yeahhhhh buddy!). The people in the office are awesome as well, making jokes between calls, teaching me things to do when I'm bored out of my mind there are no calls, that kind of stuff. I'm so thankful that God gave me this job. He knew it was perfect for me. And so now I'm a "call girl."

The Mess I Made

Should've kissed you there
I should've held your face
I should've watched those eyes
Instead of run in place
I should've called you out
I should've said your name
I should've turned around
I should've looked again

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

Should've held my ground
I could've been redeemed
For every second chance
That changed its mind on me
I should've spoken up
I should've proudly claimed
That oh my head's to blame
For all my heart's mistakes

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

And it's you, and it's you
And it's you, and it's you
And it's falling down, as you walk away
And it's on me now, as you go

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

And it's falling down, as you walk away
And it's on me now, as you go...

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
I'm staring at the mess I made
As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

Happy Birthday

WILW

Happy Wednesday!

And Happy Star Wars day!

"May the 4th be with you!"

I'm linking up with Jamie, and here's what I'm loving today!

I'm Loving... That I got a job! And it's not as a nanny! Not that I don't absolutely love being a nanny, but this one I'm guaranteed to make good money, and I have the possibility to make even better money! It has a great base pay with commission on top of it! I could end up making up to 18 dollars an hour, and I'm just loving that!

I'm Loving... This beautiful weather! Two days in a row of 70 degree weather?!?! Heck yes! I live in Oregon, and if anybody has ever been to Oregon, you know that it takes FOREVER for summer to get here. I'm talkin' July 1st. I'm hopin' it'll be here by my birthday!

I'm Loving... That my birthday is less than a month away! I'll finally be 21! The plan so far (unless my job interferes with it) is a trip to Eugene Thursday night (bummer that my birthday is on a Thursday, but it's whatever) to have dinner with my family, then my brother is taking me out for a couple drinks.. Friday we're going to the coast so I can get a tattoo on my foot.. ouch. After that we'll just drive home.. I'm sure I won't want to do much walking/standing after that. Then of course when I get home, I have a few friends that are going to take me out. I cannot wait! You don't know how many times I've heard "Aren't you 21 yet?" from my friends. I. can't. wait.

I'm Loving... that baseball/softball season is in full swing. I have no idea how many baseball and softball games I've been to this season all ready, but just know it's a lot. My best friend has 3 kids and they're all playing this year. The girl is even on two teams. It's a lot. And I try to make it to all of the girls games, since I was one of the people who talked her into playing. :)

 (She's pitching)

I'm Loving... Life! God is good, my friends and family are good, and I'm just happy as can be.

What are you loving this Wednesday?

Employed!

I got a job! Now, I didn't get the job that was supposed to be in Alaska, all of those positions were filled, but I did get a position that is only 45 miles from home (which is also where I go to school) so I'm excited! I start training Thursday through Sunday 9-1pm. I'm so excited! They seem really laid back, and it doesn't matter that I have a tattoo or piercings! Woot! This job was pretty much made for me :) God definitely took care of me in that interview :) He's awesome!!

Quote Me

Once you had put the pieces back together, even though you may look intact, you were never quite the same as you’d been before the fall.
Jodi Picoult
The greatest pain that comes form love, is loving someone you can never have.
Unknown

There’s always going to be bad stuff out there. But here’s the amazing thing — light trumps darkness, every time. You stick a candle into the dark, but you can’t stick the dark into the light.
Jodi Picoult
Love is an untamed force. When we try to control it, it destroys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us. When we try to understand it, it leaves us feeling lost and confused.
Paulo Coelho

All I’d ever wanted was to forget. but even when I thought I had, pieces had kept emerging, like bits of wood floating up to the surface that only hint at the shipwreck below.
Sarah Dessen

I don’t really want to become normal, average, standard. I want merely to gain in strength, in the courage to live out my life more fully, enjoy more, experience more.

My Weekend

This weekend I took my best friends two boys to the Ducks spring game in Eugene. It was short, but it was a very fun trip. We headed over the mountains at 8:30 and made it into Eugene by 11:15. Nedyah passed out on the air mattress a short time later, but T was up until almost 2:00 AM! He's only seven. It was crazy! He woke up refreshed and as crazy as usual the next day though.

After we ate breakfast and showered and got "ducked out" we headed to Autzen Stadium! The spring game has been dedicated to the armed forces, particularly soldiers from the community. They take  the game to honor the people who risk their lives for our country. At the end of the game, some of the soldiers as well as all the duck football players meet in the middle of the field, and the football players give them the jerseys off their backs, and the soldiers give the football players a special coin. It's really cool to see. I especially liked that they took extra time to honor the fallen officer who was shot just last week in Springfield. It was very emotional and during the moment of silence, you could hear a pin drop. Oh, and another fun fact about the game, the previous record for a pac-10 spring game (held obviously by the ducks) was 20,000 people. This year, there were over 43,000 people at the spring game. It was almost like a regular football game, only I wasn't worried that my team would lose ;)

After the game, we rode the bus back to my car. It was packed and we had to stand. T loved it, he kept letting go of the seats because it was like he was "surfing." Nedyah refused to smile. So he gets a goofy picture.

I dropped the boys off with their grandparents and spent the rest of the weekend with my brother, grandma and my beautiful niece! We had way too much fun on that air mattress!

This is the technology it took to get us over the mountains, and back again. I think I've got this whole mom thing down. By the time I'm a mom, I'm going to know ALL the tricks.

T was a tired boy. He lasted 30 minutes before he passed out, and woke up 20 minutes before we were home. Needless to say it was a quiet ride home!

I had a blast on this much needed mini vacation. I'm sure the boys did too. I can't wait to have a REAL vacation though. That one was too much work!

I have a job interview tomorrow with a hotel resort that is located in Alaska. It would be an awesome summer job, and I'm way excited! Prayers would be appreciated, and I'll definitely keep you posted! Hope you had a great weekend and have an even better week!
